Ahoy Parents and Runners,
I hope everyone had a great memorial day weekend. At least four of our young runners competed at at the Memorial Day Races on Monday. Luke Wheelan, Graham Tewksbury, and Zach Martinez both competed in the 5K. Zach completed the race in 18:02 to set a new age group record previously held by Luke Wheelan. Luke finished 3rd in his age group with a time of 22:18, and Graham shortly behind at 22:59. Meenwhile, running the 10K, Julian LaPelch shattered the previous age group record with a time of 38:19. This Sunday will be our final group run before the Dipsea, and we will take the opportunity to visit an area of Marin we have yet to explore, my old stomping ground Mt. Burdell in Novato. We will depart from San Marin High School at 10am and expect to return by noon. It could be a scorcher so bring some water and wear your sunblock.
This may be our final run before the Dipsea, but the fun isn’t over yet. Runs will resume with Marin Youth Trail Runs Summer Program on Sunday June 17th. (click here for full details)
