We have made it to the end of Dipsea Training and now it is time to put all that training to the test. The Dipsea Race is this Sunday (June 12) in downtown Mill Valley.
Friday, June 10, 5-7pm – Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club
Saturday, June 11, 10am-3pm – Mill Valley Community Center
Sunday, June 12, 6;30am-8am, Downtown Mill Valley
The first runners will begin at 8:30am. Your runners start time will vary depending upon their head start. I prefer to arrive early enough to see the first runners depart. At the very latest you will want to arrive at least 30 minutes before your runners start time. (See start times)
Runners will want to begin warmup no later than 15 minutes before their start time and line up with their starting group at the starting line 5 minutes before the start.
At the Finish
Dipsea Race day is a very busy day at Stinson Beach. Your best chance for finding parking or reserving a picnic table at the finish is to arrive early. I plan to be near the finish line until about 11am to cheer on runners as they finish. I would love if for runners to stop by for a high five and a congratulations before departing.
T shirts did not arrive on schedule to distribute last weekend. For those that ordered t-shirts, Verity will be handing out t-shirts near the starting line (in front of Mill Valley Market) until about 9:30. Please stop by to pick one up.
Last Chance to register for Summer Runs
Currently we are a few runners short of a full team for the Marin Youth Trail Runs Summer running series. If you are interested in participating Sunday is the last day to register. More information coming in a separate email. Or view details and register at MarinYouthTrailRuns.com.
It has been a pleasure to run and train with this group this Dipsea Training Season. I hope you will join me again in 2017.

Are you sure about the Acqua Hotel pickup – I think I got an email with an updated location…
