Parents and Runners,
This Sunday (March 22) is our first of three TCRS races that we will participate in during the season. This race is 5.4 miles and gains a substantial amount of elevation as it climbs to the top of Mt. Burdell.
Runners should arrive at 8:30 to allow time for parking, registration, and warmup. Race will begin at 9am. The cost is $3 for Tamalpa Members, $5 for Non-Memebers. there is no pre-registration, so runners should register upon arrival.
101 to San Marin Drive. Head west for 2 miles and take a right at San Andreas Drive. Drive to near end of street and park.
Nearest Bathroom: Starbucks on corner of San Marin Drive and San Andreas Drive.
This course will be challenging but attainable for our older and more veteran runners. For the youngest runners, or those that have struggled during our first two runs, if you choose to participate, I recommend that a parent join also to run/hike this hilly course. I will be racing along with the kids and other runners, but I plan to do a second loop upon completion to help any struggling runners, and make sure that everyone makes it to the finish line.
Runners will need to carry their own water for this race, and there are no bathrooms on site so please plan accordingly.
